What Coffee Cups Say About Us

Hey guys, this is not hard to see of course but we, as human beings have some really big differences. We're different in our emotions, in our looks, our temperaments, cravings, dreams etc.

If that's true, it is only reasonable that what we choose as our daily use products will also differentiate greatly according to our characters. So your humble servant and some colleagues of mine have decided to come up a little research among 55 people we know by character, which means extremely good friends we hang out with for years. We found a really strange and nice thing, but first, let me explain what we tried to do.

We have arranged a gathering to this group, telling we are making a casual coffee party. In this gathering we served some food and, of course, some gourmet coffee, espresso, French press, muddy, excellent beans and wonderful settings. Then, we set up on the serving table four types of coffee containers. Porcelain cups, Tall glass, wide wood cups(yep, cool looking thin wood cups like small soup or tea cups) and paper cups just like the kind you might find in your average coffee "pit stop" at work.

We then just let people prepare their coffee and choose their poison (containers). We found out some really interesting things, let me just share with you our results.

People who are shy, not extremely social, have great technical and everyday knowledge and tend to listen more than to talk with others, went for the wooden cups. Characters which are the talkative types seem to have over confidence, look above average seem more social than others, and definitely the flirting types, went for the tall glasses. Those who are very practical, tend to talk a lot of facts, shy away from passion and flirt and practice extreme hygiene, went for - the paper cups and the ones who have the classic looks, tend to stay in control, never shout, always seem quite and elegant but still keep a good social skill, went for - the porcelain cups.

Pretty neat, huh? Now of course this is not black or white, but these people we have invited for the little research party are old friends which we know very well so we can say it is at least 85% accurate.

Another interesting fact by the way was that "Tall Glasses" persons were almost always talking to "Porcelain Cups" guys, and the "Wooden" types, were sticking mostly with the "Paper" people.

Now I'm pretty sure next time your buddy's having a cup of coffee, you'll think differently.

Cheers,
